Play is the language of children
-Garry Landreth
Children don’t always have the words to express what they’re feeling—but they are always communicating through behaviors, play, and emotions.
I support children who experience issues like anxiety, self-esteem issues, sensory overwhelm, somatic complaints, and who are highly sensitive. I also have experience treating children with behavioral issues like impulsivity, tantrums, aggression, shutting down, and trauma-related symptoms.
Through toys, art, and imagination, they can safely process emotions, challenges, and experiences in a way that feels comfortable and non-threatening. This is called play therapy! Over time, play therapy helps children understand their feelings, learn better ways to cope, and regulate their emotions. I also encourage children to strengthen their problem-solving skills and feel more confident in themselves and their relationships.
Working with children is at the heart of my practice, and I approach it with both gentleness and intentionality. I partner with parents and caregivers to offer guidance and support so you feel equipped to respond to your child with confidence and connection.
